Thx Don. The Sluggfest was a fun tourney. It rained pretty good in the morning but it was a warm rain and things dried out by afternoon. Fishing was tough out there still. This was our best trip to the Pedro since we started fishing there again in the fall. I was stoked to finally break in my Okuma 7'11' H Telescoping rod on a fish :)
Really I was stoked just to get a bite and land it! There's going to be a lot of guys coming to HBC-4 who are going to leave scratching their heads after they fish Pedro this year. It's a very tricky lake to even locate fish on right now. March will bring stuff shallower which is good, but even then I'm not expecting too much. Maybe one real big one and some 7-8's.
Anyway, Robert Mansor put on the Sluggfest and did a great job. Steak tacos at the weigh ins, t-shirts, good paybacks and the most ridiculous trophies you've ever seen. We had to take the tops off to fit them in the back of Nico's truck, lmao. I know Marxmiller is dying to post the pic he took on his cell as we were walking off with these things :) Classic.
