Not much talk about the world record this year. But the first few weeks in March are traditionally the primo time for the biggest bass to get caught. Will 2009 be the year the record falls? Is someone looking at it right now down at Mission Viejo or Dixon? Thoughts and predictions?

I sure hope so... a 7 year old kid with a snoopy pole and a nightcrawler.

(sarcastically)...just drop-shot some top knockers on a zebco spin-master and an 8 foot noodle rod, that should do the trick...:)

Its been quiet down here. I do know where a couple big fish should be but they arent quite that big. Maybe I can put Mark on one

There has already been an 18+ caught at the Lagoon while Butch was up here on Pedro so thats the biggest I have heard of so far this year. next week may be different as the waters start to warm
