A few of mine...

"Try fishing fast, medium, and slow"

"Fish on the top, middle, and bottom"

"Try a big lure for big fish"

"Try a small lure for big fish"

"The preferred water temperature for the bass is ___"

"Bass can survive temperatures from __ to __ "

"Fish points, humps, bluffs, flats, saddles, and rock piles"

"If you aren't getting a bite, try something else"

"Vary the retrieve"

"Big bass require deep water access"

"Bass feed on crawfish, shad, bluegill, shiners, and trout"

"Big bass bite in the morning and evening"

"Big bass bite during the middle of the day"

Sometime the days you dont catch any are the days you learn the most

Try fishing docks. And in between docks.

anything involving "magical water temperatures"

try to fill your limit, then work on getting big ones in the boat

Get big ones in the boat, then try to fill your limit

your worst day fishing is better than your best day working -
what if you are a pro-fisherman?

"Thats why they call it fishin' not catchin'"

"we'll eventually get a big one" while catching dink after dink

Ryan Thoni

If people concentrated on the important things in life there would be a shortage of fishing poles.

<snip>

your worst day fishing is better than your best day working -

<snip>

That is the worst line ever in my book. Your worst day fishing just might cost you your life. Lets see, close a million dollar deal and make sick commissions or, and I have a great real time example, fish 48 degree Lake Okeechobee and not be able to buy a bite? Come on. Whoever coined the "you worst day _________, beats your best day work" should be shot. A good day at work is usually pretty darn fulfilling and rewarding. Bad days fishing are BAD. And they can be especially bad if broken equipment and blood loss is involved.

Some more:

90% of the fish are in 10% of the lake

Grass equals bass

When you think your fishing slow, slow down even more

Fish your strengths

From Bill Dance: "Remember use the right bait, at the right depth, in the right color, with the right presentation, and you WILL catch bass" Uuhh, Ya think?!
