It all depends on the lake youll be fishing most. The slammer is strictly topwater and the stocker can be fished deep or top water dependeing on how long you let it sink. I personally would get the stocker for 2 reasons. #1= everyone and there moms are throwing the wooden topwater baits, although they work very well they are being used non stop by everyone. 2#= the slammers action is great but not as good as the stockes, plus if a fish hit it and spits it out quik he will most likely go back after the stocker because of its soft body. I would say go for the stocker but remember to run a bottom treble hook on the bottom of the bait. I hope i have helped you deside.

I was half way though a mega post on this subject reviewing all of the baits. I'm running Netscape on Solaris 8 which is often buggy so I was saving out to a text file using the native Solaris text editor. I went to find a link to buying basstrix swimbaits online because I was putting links to where to buy online for each of the baits. jnttackle.com got netscape all in a funk and vaporized my browser. Ok I'll go and take what I just copied from the post and paste it into the text editor. Pasted it in and hit the netscape copy paste bug on solaris where it doesn't actually copy what you copy. Went to undo to get back to what I had saved a few minutes ago and realized the undo history in the Solaris text editor is only 1 undo. So that took me back to NOTHING! I lost it all. So bummed.

Patrick
You CAN'T ORDER A STOCKER ONLINE. I don't know how many times I have to say this. The only way you are going to get a hold of one is by calling some of the small shops in California like Wilderness Outfitters in Arroyo Grande or Eric's Tackle in Ventura or whatever. Try

http://yp.yahoo.com

To look up their numbers or just search on the web at

http://www.google.com

You should be able to find something that way.
I'll write the article sometime. I'm rebuilding my computer tonight, so it might be a little while.
