Announcing a Big Bass contest for Calfishing.com registered users. For the month of March 2002, a contest to see who can catch, photograph, and post a picture of the largest bass (largemouth, smallmouth or spot) during the month will receive a prize package from Calfishing.com and Bass World West.
The rules of eligibility will be that you must be a registerd member of Calfishing.com, that your bass is weighed on a digital scale, photographed so that the size can be verified, and that it be taken under tournament-style rules ( no livebait, no bed snagging, etc.)The photo must be posted by March 31, and the weight posted in hundreths of a pound, ie: 10.27 lbs. Instructions for how to post pictures on the forum are at:
If you cannot post the picture for some reason, it is acceptable to e-mail them to so that Rob can post them for you.

DUDE that should be a given. i think we can pretty much trust everyone on this site to c&r everything, much less a 10+ HOG that might be a world record someday, but that was something to think about. guys if you do catch a fish, release it. not just for the species, but for the fishery itself

My Mission was unsuccessful this weekend, but I did see the fattest pig I've ever seen in my life. Jeez, talk about a big girl. Looked like a grouper. At least I know her neighborhood, I'll be working it like a crack starved hooker. Lots of males eating the white jigs, a couple of nice females getting ready, I love fishing bass in March.
