#15763, "Tons of Fun!!"

I went out on my neighborhood lake yesterday to do some frog fishing since that bite has been pretty hot for the last month or so, and to my displeasure, the frog bite didn't materialize for me hardly at all. I got two little fish on the frog, and only a couple other lazy rolls. So I decided that was not happening and I pulled out the ultra-light rig and started workin some worms in about 14-20 feet of water. Well, I ended up not putting the 6 lb gear down for the rest of the day. 3 and 4 pound fish are a blast on little gear, and I was grinning all afternoon with those guys. Throw into the mix the biggest bluegill I've ever seen (1.4 on my scale, and he pulled drag), and that made for an excellent afternoon.

If any of you Sonoma guys want to get out on my back yard lake, let me know and I can get you in the gate and we can do a little fishin.

Later!
