Launching at the ramp is a great idea -- better parking & launching for all, mid-lake access, making both ends more reachable. Man, with the water down so low, doing a full-lake circuit isn't such a stretch this year, eh? (Right, Swimbait? Like you did @ Los Banos last year?)
Good thinking, guys!

Yup, fished there yesterday (Sunday). FYI, the creek is just that (and nothing more!) -- about a 6-foot-across stream, with all that beautiful flipping cover way up, high & dry!
A dude in a canoe said he got a couple of 8's throwing a... (sorry, I won't say, and I've probably said more than I should have already). I didn't get anything over 3, but about a dozen fish in all. The wind was pretty obnoxious much of the day, but not as bad as I've seen it in the past. Hopefully, this current weather front will have burned its way through by the weekend, with a little calm on the other side.
Anyway, for those of you who like to fish fast, you oughtta be able to cover the whole lake over the course of the (6/7/8 hours?) of the tourney. For all you flip-meisters, though, you're going to be a little disappointed. Nothing like last year at all.
You know them big'uns are out there, though -- just waitin' to see what you've got tied on! Sharpen up them hooks, boys (& girls)!!!

The CB&T shop is probably 10-15 miles north of the lake itself, on the *west* side of 101. The lake is hidden in the east hills.
Directions to the lake:
If you're coming from 101, take the 'Leavesley' exit (to the east) in Gilroy, where the outlet malls are.
You then take a left at 'New Rd,' followed by a right at 'Roop Rd.' I believe there are signs at both of those turns, guiding you to the lake. In any case, take Roop up past the homes & ranches, winding up the hill to a 'T' intersection, where you will make a hairpin turn up & to the left. Follow that to the park entrance (past the locked-gate 'Harvey Bear' entrance on the flat space up there). The Coyote Lake entrance is a steep dropdown turn to your left, with a big sign -- you can't miss it. Just follow that in to the paystation ($6?), then continue to the launchramp, about a half-mile into the park.
See you there!

IFISH say's,
There's a very good chance I'll be attending, just got to get my happy a$$ in gear.
Hey Paul, since I'll most likely be attending, I'll volunteer my services as the certified CPR guy, man, person we're supposed to have for this event. I heard CZ was the guy last year, and seeing as how I'm a Santa Clara County EMT, we're covered. They gave me a nifty badge and everything. :D :+
IFISH
P.S - And for those ready to fire with jokes, No. " I won't be in the WONG. And I know the right way, and not the " WONG " way to do CPR. " There, I just saved you like 30 second of thought. :+ Also, C.P.R stands for " Cardio Pulmonary Resescitaion ", and NOT, " Constantly Preparing Rice ". :+ :+ :P

I was looking at the coyote bait and tackle website and it might help to get people interested if they had it posted in their events section of the site. I don't see it mentioned anywhere.:( ---------------------------------- UPDATED fishin pics! Fishin pics are up again http://s90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/reddhedd/fish%20pics/

Great! Doesn't matter to me how many people as long as it still takes place. If it wasn't for the tourney I'd be working on the honey do list. }( ---------------------------------- UPDATED fishin pics! Fishin pics are up again http://s90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/reddhedd/fish%20pics/
