This is an item I've know about for awhile but could never remember to post. The old boarded up stairs that people like to fish by while float tubing Goleta is being replaced. Back in November there was a notice in my dorm posted about new beach access stairs, and how the construction would probably wake us up early and take up 14 parking spaces and stuff like that. Anyway there wasn't much in the way of construction except maybe for the clearing of some brush for a long time. However, I just came back from break and it looks like they have started or are going to start soon. I haven't gone to check it out closely but there is a crapload of lumber and stuff there now.

The orginal notice said construction would be completed in 4-6 months, but since they just got started and are probably going to be delayed by weather like we had the past couple days who knows when it will be done.

So when they finally finsh that it will make a nice spot to walk down to the beach to start tubing.
