Fished after work with my pops yesterday. Conditions seemed right, high tide, nice looking water, no weeds to speak of. Fished from about 5:45 till dark. Pops got the helmet. I only managed 1 fish but at least it was a good one. 26 inch flatty, released to fight another day. Got it South of the wharf casting parallel to the beach on a cartsaf. I wasn't sure I even got bit, I just reeled down on something heavy and started slowly pulling it in like a hugh mass of kelp. About half way in it woke up and spun me a few times before I got the boga on it. Then it went balistic and soaked me while trying to pull my arm off. Crowd on the wharf seemd to appreciate the show.
