Fished off of the Corona Del Mar Jetty on Saturday afternoon. Used 4" FishTraps in the Calico Bass color. Only had a couple of hits, the tail of the bait would come back raked but no fish. Think the bait might have been a little to large for your average bay bass. Next time I will chuck 3" WormKings. Great day to be fishing!
One guy on the jetty was using anchovy pieces and dropping them into the holes in the rocks and kelp. He was catching Sculies, Perch, Rock fish and a few bass. Thinking that a Texas rigged grub, flipped into the holes might get those same fish. Anyone ever give this a try? Sounds like a pretty good way to lose a bunch of tackle!
