The big California Halibuts are coming in. Four floattubers had the time of their life. Rock caught two 29" Halibuts both were very thick, John Brown caught a 34",12.4lb. Halibut to go along with a 24"er which he released, and Nick Gowing with his 40 1/2",27 1/2lb Halibut. WOW! All these guys were using live smelts. Another guy named Pete was throwing plastics and caught a 38",22lb Halibut. Can you believe this... no shorties!! Belmont Shores is hot again!! Don't know how long it will last but the last three days produced 3-40"ers.
I just hope it's this good when I go out on Saturday and on the tourney day on Sunday.
