Surffished Salt Creek in the late afternoon...caught/released only 5 dink surfperch (saw NO corbina at all-where are they?). Water was VERY clear...I should have brought my spear instead since my neighbor speared a nice 26 inch legal halibut (had a broken line and hook in mouth). The pod of dolphins (about 10) that normally cruise up and down the beach came within 30 feet of shore and were in about 3 feet of water right where I was fishing...I literally could have almost touched them! It was neat till half of the beach ran over to see them right where I was...lol! They moved just outside the surfline and down the beach when the crowds arrived. Got a nice tan too and although the fishing wasn't great, it was a nice day!
