Me and kristal spent the weekend in HMB. Brought the kayak to check out the harbor and paddle around to get some fresh air.

Launched out by the old pier near pillar point. So much dog ##### there it was unreal. Too many freaking people not picking up after their mutts. It was freezing also. We made one decent drift across the outer harbor drifting anchovies and decided to paddle into the boat slips area to get out of the bone chilling breeze.

Paddle up next to this huge catamaran and got some pretty good wind block. Then the croaker fest was on. Couldn't stay on bottom for longer than 10 seconds w/out being picked up by a white croaker (up to 2 lbs). As a result, no halibut. Didn't see anyone else fishing the harbor. Sun finally broke ~8:30 and my frozen ass started to thaw.

The previous night saw a couple of people out crabbing (several dungies ~8 inches) and croaker.
