Late report for Saturday at Catalina. My wife and I took a little mini vacation to the island and of course I had to have the sticks along. After snokeling in a preserve area and seeing legitimate 7-8 pound calicos I had to fish, so we rented a boat for four hours. Fished in the area of the bait barge and an area just to the west of Avalon for 25 calicos, two legal barracuda, and a dumped big fish that could have been a yellow or WSB. Fished for about two hours and had fish hitting the FishTraps on every cast. Only problem was that all the bass were 12-13".
