Delta Holland Cut Report
Swampy and I launched his boat 7:AM Sunday morning to cold and windy conditions. Tried to make it out to Franks track but due to the winds made it impossible with heavy white caps rolling in from the West. Fished a number of protected sloughs with only one 2 and a half pound bass swampy managed with a jig. Catching fish was pretty slow to say the least.
I decide on giving try a lure I’ve been making. ~ Similar to the 9-inch slammer swimbait. Just different of the kind of paint patterns I choose to paint these lures along with sizes. I add rattles to the baits. Oh, Not to forget that I added an extra set of eyes to these lures. I call them “4Eyes”
I was tossing this lure for about thirty minutes, lone and behold I get a five pounder to come up and hammer the bait on the top of the water. Shortly afterward Dave and I take pictures. The mojo is off this bait, as I catch my first fish on my custom made swimbait. What also made this catch cool was that I got it from the Delta. :)
I’m not going to sell my baits in mass production. Due to it's complicity and time to make a few Custom baits.
Ask me to check them out or if I can try to match a color idea of yours. Contributions are not needed, but are greatly appreciated. :)
I’ll post a pic when they get developed
Thanks Dave, Your boat is running better and better every time.
