Well for the 2nd event in a row we got our butts handed to us. Still scratching my head over this one. Conditions were the same as they have been for 3 weeks now. Foggy/overcast. Clear water on most of the lake. 55 to 56 deg. temps.
Nico and I had a good number of areas that varied from deep to shallow, vertical to tapering points, etc. We had 3 or 4 baits that were working well and had been catching 8 and a half pounds the last few trips out.
Yesterday it was like the fish knew we were coming for them. You could see them on the meter thick and nothing. We caught 3 keepers and a half-dozen undersized fish. I hooked one good one spit shotting with 6lb test and it went straight in to a tree and broke me off.
Teams that did well seemed to be fishing deep. We are around some of the top finishers. I had a few bites out in 40-50 feet but they kept dropping the bait. I guess a 3" worm is too big.
To go from catching 20-30 fish per trip with good quality to having trouble just getting bit just blows my mind. Spotted bass, don't know what else to say.

Gummit! I was wondering when your event was. I'm shocked you guys had trouble getting bit as well as you were catching 'em. That sux. Keep at it, you guys will put it together.
