Headed out to Goleta Beach yesterday 6-8:30 and did pretty well for 3 guys. My buddy Abel landed 2 WSB up to 22", 2 short Halibut to 20" along with a few pesky Ronkies. Thor was already fishing when we got there and had 4 shorts by the time we launched. He ended up with 6 by the time we left. I had 2 shorts to 18", a legal at 22 1/2 and 6 Ronks (Hate those things). Frozen chovies and live smelt from the slough were the bait of choice. All in all a very nice 2 1/2 hours of fishing. Water conditions were incredible! Very flat and super, super warm. Love this plus tide!!
