I read a post on another site about 3 guys that got 18 halibut with 8 being legal size. The post said they were fishing the surf at Pigeon Point between Santa Cruz and S.F. with Krocodile spoons. It sounds a little fishy (pun intended) to me, as it seems too early for the 'buts to be up. (Shallow, that is). I might give it a try this weekend. It should be good for surf perch if nothing else.
