After catching about a dozen of big smelt at the hole, I went tubing at Alamitos Bay. Caught 3 sandies (2 on big hammerand and 1 on bait) and a 24 inch hali. Missed 3 good hits. Brought the baits back to find massive teeth marks on all three. Should've waited longer. Saw lots of boils when I got there but I figure it was only bonies and I didn't want anything to do with them. Some were pretty big. All fish CPRed, I still have the 26 inch hali caught at CDM no need to be greedy.
