I just want to recommend the reading of an article in Sport Fishing magazine, October 2002. It begins on page 76 and discusses bills, past and present, before Congress. It also rates some congressmen and gives some addresses. I'd encourage everyone to read it and write to your respresentatives and senators regarding these activities which will have an impact on us, the sportfishers.

Nope, no link. I subscribe to it, and it's cheap that way...by far the best overall saltwater fishing mag out there, with lots of articles, (although lots are of Atlantic sites) and snippets about what's going on. But they should make this article available on-line at their website www.SportFishingMag.com. I'm going to email them, and maybe they will. If they do, I'll post it to the group. It might be worth a phone call to your library to see if they have a copy of October 2002. One other valuable tip I got out of this copy was an article on stinging marine animals: from stonefish to stingrays to catfish and sculpin, the first aid remedy is HEAT. All of them seem to have the kind of poison that responds to heat, surprisingly.
