Well, we've either fished it out or they're coming in at different times. Fished for seabass in the morning from 4:00 - 7:00 am and in the evening from 8:00 - 11:00 pm without a single bite. Tried all the basic plastics and fastracs. I even tried the non-jointed rattling fastrac after dark (since it seemed like they wouldn't hit the jointed non-rattling one after dark). Heard a couple dinks (under 20") were caught before I got there. There is squid in the receiver and it's close to a full moon but who knows? That's fishing!

I've been reading your accounts of catching wsb in SB harbor. I'm interested in trying that down here in San Diego and was curious as to what size and what color of fastrac you use.

Hope you have continued success and thanks for any info you might be able to pass on.

The fastracs come in two sizes and they both work. For color I've stuck to the chrome/black because it's the only one they sell around here. I think Brian tried the chrome/blue but it didn't produce as well. I also caught them on this big Rainbow Trout colored jointed Rapala with a lip similar to the fastrac.

You can't catch tomorrow what you kill today - please practice catch and release.
