Unfortunately I have a darn cold and sore throat so I missed the swell. Heroins looked very good Saturday with about 20 guys out. Today was significantly smaller...it was barely breaking. Gravels however looked very fun with at least 30 guys out. I haven't surfed and fished in some time and am going crazy...will get out there soon!

I surfed really good sized, heavy Strands Saturday late morning. Rights off the Point was going off, we'll see the pics in the next mag- guys were getting slotted big time. I thought Heroins might be going, it was. Not big Heroins, but super fun lined up rights off the reef, 11 guys on it. For whatever reason (island blockage), trestles wasn't nearly as big, although I got some fun ones at barbwires last night. The swell was at least twice the size at Creek. Today, trestles sucked big time, barely any swell and the stiff south wind. Again, DP was twice the size, but I passed on another walled session at Strands. Weird, gravels reef wasn't getting much but Heroins was breaking, not too big but really good shape. Go figure. Another couple of nice W/nw lining up this week. I wonder how good Blacks and the Cliffs were Saturday?? Had to be going off. Todos was macking yesterday, probably today too. Looked like the Monarch\3 Arch crew were on it yesterday at Heroins. I guess a couple guys were charging the reefs outside Capo yesterday as well. That's a healthy swell.

it was still fun today, had a really fun session tonight at Strands with nobody on it. Great time tonight with the wind swell breaking it up enough to make it really fun. Jeez, Big Rock must have been nuts, I can imagine what Blacks was doing. Good call on Heroins, Grom!

Another powerful winter swell is supposed to hit late Wednesday (tomorrow)...should be good if no wind and rain. I still have the tail end of this cold but may risk it if conditions are good.
