#248, "Full Day Seahawk LXV"

got on the boat out of Sea Landing, here in Santa Barbara at 10:00pm on friday night after fishing at carneros till 8:30 (got 3 little uns). Woke up in the morning to cold wiiiiiiindy conditions at San Miguel. There was a good chop on the water with white caps and a few rollers. we started out on the frontside and ran from spot to spot all the way around to the backside. Not many fish were caught, if any, on the frontside, and even the backside didn't pick up till late. Actually i think i got a little tree fish or something on the frontside and that was about it. It was pretty slow until the last stop. It went off. Limits of rockfish around the boat. I think I had 2 fish before rolling up to that spot, and then finished off my limit and got a nice johnny bass. All my fish at that spot came on plastic, so it was really fun. I had like 9 fish all on plastic (without squid). Most of the fish were in the 1, 2 pound range with a couple 4 lb. reds coming in. my big fish was like a 3 pound johnny. So, yeah, throwing plastic was really fun. Jackpot was taken by a lady with a lingcod.
