#1160, "Anybody been to San Pablo lately ?"

I am very anxious to do some sight fishing over there, but my main concern is the clarity. 4 feet would make it possible. 5 or 6 feet would be very nice. Over 6 feet would be beautiful !

Rob ? Nico ? Anybody ???

Peace,
Fish

Boy I wish I could give you a report but I haven't heard much. We had a lot of wind last night and today which can't be good for visibility, but I also cannot imagine that fish haven't been spawning the past few weeks. They were pretty close the last time I was there on March 30th, fish cruising and basking up shallow and whatnot. My gut tells me the main spawn hasn't happened there yet still, but I don't have much info to go on. Next week could be the time to go.

Last time I was there, Apr 5th, the water in the preserve was probably 2.5-3 ft vis, and the water towards scow was about 4 ft vis. I had one fish messing with me that I'm pretty confident was a male on a bed. It was a overcast, windy day though so I wouldn't really have seen anything.

Norcalfishing.com report for 4/15 says the water temp is 58-60F. I KNOW it's gotta be warmer than that. But swimbait's still probably right, I doubt too many fish have spawned. I'm going to try it the weekend of the full moon. Gotta be something happening then, right?

Nico
