Once you do a good deep cleaning, use this lubricant and you will see major differences in the casting performance. I bought the tournament product and have never had a smoother reel.

This guy is in Texas so you don't have to wait for overseas shipping. I think I paid about $10 and it services about 35 reels.
tell him DWeber sent you.

a dryer bearing, will out-perform any bearing that is lubricated, don't get me wrong, Rocket-fuel is good stuff, but try de-hydrating your bearings, then you will see a difference in casting.

Next reel you service, try soaking your bearings in some high % alcohol, then cast it next to your lubricated reels, trust me!

I have heard that dryer is better...but was concerned the the life of the bearing will be reduced too fast. I can get the best of both worlds with a quality lube, distance and longevity...:7

totally, I use Rocket fuel myself!:7

so long as the bearing is not submerged, or moisture does not intrude the casing, they should be fine!

Heck, I have 3 or 4 Chronarch Super-free's, all with dried out bearings, they are a little noisy, but man do they fly!!!!

Especially the new Shimano ARB bearings, they do come factory-greased, but if you clean them out, they are awesome, being they have no sheild! Give it a try!
