Boats at Virgs landing include the Admiral, Fiesta, Harbor Pathfinder, and the Lot A Fun.
Rockfish are the bread and butter out of Virgs however they will fish salmon and albacore in season. Some years, typically in the late summer or early fall, the albacore come tight to the coast in front of the Morro Rock and fishing is great. Other years the fish stay far offshore and are not as easily accessible. Salmon is similarly boom and bust, with some years considerably better than others.
The really killer rock cod trip that Virgs offers in season is the day and a half Pt. Sur trip. There's very little fishing pressure that far north of Morro Bay due to the lack of launch areas/harbors in that area. The weather can be rough but the fishing is tremendous up there.
