Well I have finally taken the time to post about my Alaskan halibut trip ALMOST 2 MONTHS AGO! Anyway, we spent the first week chasing salmon than the last 3 days in Homer for barn door butts. Well needless to say we never landed any barn doors but we did see boats on 2 out of the 3 days right next to us(40 yards away) land 300lb+ butts. I cant even begin to tell you da size of the teeth on those things. You know the teeth are pretty big when from 40 yards away they look big! Even though it would have been a lot better if it was us landing those fish it was still awesome to see. I just couldnt believe my eyes on how big they are it is unreal... The bad thing is everytime I catch one of those nice 30 lb bay butts I just dont look at it the same after seeing those barn doors. Its just a whole nother ball game up der. Well as for things I learned.....CIRCLE HOOKS! I have never taken hooks out of nice sized butts so easily. I have finally(I think) figured out how to post pictures so here are some from the trip. Our biggest butt between the 5 of us was 70lbs although the photo is from one of the smaller days. Derby winners for the 3 days were 365lbs, 322lbs, and 347lbs. As you can see with the one of me and the silver, look at my other 2 buddies with fish on too. It is just too easy up there :-)
Good Going Zacharoni! Dont worry about the posting...I also just bought a scanner...have been racking my brain trying to post some pics(still working on it)...we will be patient!
daaaaaamn.... they did show up like they were working. Now I logged back on and they are gone. Ok now I am going on a mission! Time to crack the 6 pack and try to figure this out..... Hang with me boys cause this might take me awhile!!!!
Zach, I promise I will explain it all one of these days. The whole goal is to get the picture online somewhere, anywhere, you can do it using the file upload feature. Then you have to put the full url to the picture like
Well after looking into the issue I see that indeed it is the classic case of the man trying to bring me down. I uploaded some files to Tripod earlier today and in the time from when I posted to the time all of you looked at the post they discontinued my account cause they said I was illegally deleting files. What a crock I never deleted anything! Whatever I guess I cant complain since it is free but what a total hassle. I will be back and yes they will be up for good this next time!
Zach, Try using the file upload option from the page where you post a message. Once you upload it, at the very least there will be links to the pic at the bottom of your post. You can take those same links, using the preview button, and paste them into the post so the pics show up right in the post. The thing that may get you is that there is a limit on file size for the uploads. It think it's 300k.

Rob-
I hope this dosent confuse any of you more than me but here it goes. The upload feature looks sweet and easy the only problem is I tried using the and got a script error. All I tried to do was upload a jpeg from my desktop. I selected the file than selected jpeg as the type of file(none of the photos were over 300k)and no dice. Also, I am a little confused as to why when I add a hyperlink to my post and preview it, the picture shows up fine and when I post it everything looks good. Then all of a sudden it is gone. I check the link in a browser to see if it isnt resolving anymore and it comes right up. I also try to repost the same hyperlink and in the preview it comes right up. Any advice for one confused Z-MAN???? Am I the only one out there with this problem???
