Today would be a good day :) Big storm coming. South wind. Windy off and on.

I look for chop on the water. Not a big 2 foot chop, just a 2-6" chop. Cloudy is good. Night is good also.

The other key ingredient is to fish for fish that might see or sense the lure. There's not much point in throwing a wake bait on the surface when bass are deep, or covered by muddy water, or just out of range in general. Wake baits do draw fish from a long ways, but they do have to sense it initially.
