The only colors you need are BROWN/PURPLE, BROWN, BLACK. keep it plain jigs don't have to get fancy.As far as trailers go I like super pork. But any crawdad plastic bait works great. As far as jigs go 3/8, 1/2, and 3/4oz. are the sizes you need. Try J-Lure camo jigs for open water or rock areas. They have no weedgaurd (fish gaurds) on them like a skinny bear style jig. they are only avalable at Erics Tackle in Ventura CA. A local guy makes them. For flippin and pitchin jigs its hard to beat a PROLINE JIG. They have a good hook and the good colors.and don't forget about spider jigs. GREAT BAIT
