You guys know that I am a big Assalt fan. They have a lot of different colors available, but I really truly only use 3 colors. Black/red and Brown/copper and a white jig for sight fishing occasionally. I guess I'm kind of old school in that regard :)
My confidence in the Assalt jig comes from the quality of the components. The hook, the skirt, the jig head shape, the paint, etc. True story ... when I got sponsored by Big Hammer I didn't know about the Assalt jigs. When I got some, I was really excited about them, and when I got enough Assalt jigs in my box, I sold every other jig I owned except a handful of football head jigs and 1oz jigs that Assalt doesn't make.
If you're looking for suggestions on trailers, check out my article on the Assalt site. I like pork, spyder grubs, and mad man craws, but the brush hog is my confidence trailer for big bass.
